Fragmented Interactions by Gregor Kregar (stainless steel)
The Brick Bay Sculpture Trail can be found in Matakana, New Zealand – about an hours drive from Auckland – is home to a rotating roster of 45 contemporary sculptures by leading kiwi artists. Surrounded by a green landscape of native trees, birdlife and rolling pastures, vistors are able to experience art placed along this 2km trail.
We’ve chosen a half dozen works to spotlight after the jump.
Oceans, Islands, Sky by Gretchen Albrecht (stainless steel plate, stainless steel mesh)
Mountain Pose, Stick Stac by Ian Boyle (stone, sticks)
Nest (Fall of Grace) by Liz Earth (plaster, fibreglass, paper, wire, grapevine prunings, foliage)
Listen-stop by Phil Dadson (powder coated aluminium, stainless steel stands)
Step Lightly by Virginia King (stainless steel, hand finished and electropolished)
